HONESDALE, PA — Jim Donnelly, president/CEO of Wayne Bank, announced that Wayne Bank has supported the Wayne County Community Foundation (WCCF) with a donation through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC).
Ryanne Jennings, WCCF president/CEO, accepted a check for $4,000 from Donnelly. With this donation, Wayne Bank helps the foundation offer academically advanced programs in the Wayne Highlands, Wallenpaupack Area and Western Wayne School Districts, the bank said.
“Supporting educational opportunities today helps strengthen our communities for the future,” said Donnelly.
The Wayne County Community Foundation invests and administers funds to award grants, scholarships and promote programs to a wide range of humanitarian, educational and cultural organizations.
This gift was made possible because of the EITC program offered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, acting through the Department of Community and Economic Development.
