Walking with friends

No one likes to be lonely.

It's a state of being, according to Psychology Today, "of distress or discomfort that results when one perceives a gap between one’s desires for social connection and actual experiences of it." It is a state of being that poses serious threats to well-being and long-term physical health.

Some call it an epidemic in our time.

Loneliness is different than solitude as we yearn for connection and a sense of belonging.

So I agree with Helen. It is preferable to walk together in the darkness than to walk alone in the light.

So reach out  to a friend today. Connect, share and breathe together in the turmoil.

Helen Keller, loneliness
