Starting at 7 pm, The Cooperage Project presents an intimate multimedia preview of John Vega’s “Becoming Red,” featuring live performances, film and a Q&A ahead of its June 13th staging. This free event starts at 7 pm and is open to the public for those who are 13 and older.
“E lucevan le stelle” (“The Stars are Shining”)
On Friday, May 22, The Cooperage Project hosts an evening of Italian opera featuring local favorite Melanie Henley Heyn and Italian tenor Marco Ferulli, blending world-class talent with local roots. Doors open at 7 pm, music begins at 7:30 pm; tickets are $22 online or $25 cash at the door.
Saturday, June 13: Brag Bingo
Starting at 7 pm, The Cooperage Project presents an evening of laughter and celebration with Drag Bingo hosted by Belle Pepper and friends. Tickets are $22 online and $25 at the door for this 18+ event; please grab yours early as it often sells out, and remember that IDs will be checked at the door.

Dorflinger Glass Museum

The Dorflinger Glass Museum, on the grounds of the Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary, is “the nation’s largest collection of American brilliant-cut Dorflinger glass displayed in the home of the founder.”
The grounds are also home to the Wildflower Concert Series (see entry page 23) and the Fall Music Festival.

The Museum will be opening its Glassworker’s House the last Sunday of every month from noon to 5 pm, from May to October.
The Museum is also offering stargazing with Bruce Parker Friday nights from 8:30 to 10:30 pm in the parking lot at Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary, April to October.

Saturday, June 13: Farm Arts Presents: “Venomous” by Morgan Kauffman
Event starts at 7 pm. A venomologist is on the brink of discovering a life-saving cure from the venom of a rare insect on the brink of climate-driven extinction. Meet an AI programer whose belief that new technologies will lead to true global abundance is put to the test. Through overhead projector art, storytelling and physical theatre virtuosity, we see how, despite these characters’ hold wildly different definitions of
a good life, their lives are intricately reliant on one another.
Friday, June 19: Juneteenth Celebration
Farm Arts Collective will celebrate the national holiday that marks the end of slavery (Juneteenth) with a new play, “The Dawn of a New Century,” written by Tasa Faronii-Butler and directed by Oliver King. The performance, starting at 6:30 pm, features Crystal Tweed, John Neils, Robin Greywolf Henderson and Tasa Faronii-Butler. The short play illuminates a conversation between W. E.B. DuBois and Booker T. Washington. The evening will be moderated by Janus Adams.
Sunday, June 28: Farm Tour and Lunch
The farmer and co-owner of Willow Wisp Organic Farm, Greg Swartz, takes people on an extended farm tour for a deep dive into the systems and ethics of running a solar-powered organic vegetable farm. Soil health, irrigation systems, crop rotation, cover crop, and marketing will be covered. Lunch included. Event starts at noon.
Saturday, July 18: Flower Cut and Design Workshop
A workshop favorite—participants will tour the flower fields with flower farmers Tannis and Jess, cut flowers and then work with the leaders to design a bouquet to take home. Event starts at 9 am.
Saturday, July 25 to Sunday, August 9: “Dream on the Farm: Johnny Appleseed: An Historical Fantasia”
Created by Farm Arts Collective, this is play #7 in a decade-long series of climate change themed plays being created by the collective. Who was Johnny Appleseed? Friend to the native Lenape people and to the pioneers and settlers, Johnny was an enigma and his mythology is the subject of this year’s “Dream on the Farm” play. Performances to start at 6:30 pm.

Saturday, June 27: Celebrate Forests250 Family Fun Day
This family-friendly event includes a free museum open house, forest scavenger hunt, historic fire tower tours, and refreshments.
Friday, July 10: Candlelight Dinner at the Finger Bowl
A unique dining experience in support of a special cause, the Grey Towers Legacy Scholarship program. Event to run from 5 to 9 pm.
Sunday, July 12: If Trees Could Talk: Guided Hike
Dr. Paul Kovalski, GTHA member and Dentist by profession, retired as Chief of Dental Services at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital, New Jersey Department of Health, will host a guided walk. His guided hike will highlight the more than 25 varieties of trees beloved by the Pinchot family. The walk will run from 11 am to 1 pm.

The Wayne County Creative Arts Council is very excited to be presenting this year’s Summer Festival of Events, part of Honesdale’s celebration of America 250! From June 15 till July 30, Honesdale’s Central Park will be filled two evenings a week (at least!) with some of your favorite acts and some new features as well.
All concerts (except July. 3) start at 7:30 pm, preceded at 7 pm by special performances by one of NEPA’s Young Musicians.

Honesdale’s own barbershop chorale, the Honesdale Harmonizers, joins with the truly impressive Highland Handbells for a strong double-header.
Thursday, June 18: The Crosstown Shuttle Duo and the Frost Duo
The Crosstown Shuttle Duo, aka Charlie and Bev Lusso, has built up quite a following throughout the Tri-State area. They will be sharing the evening with the Frost Duo, a very talented couple from the Lackawanna Valley, featuring multi-instrumentalist Christian Gratz and vocalist/pianist LeaBeth Evans. Their performances mix jazz, R&B, and soft rock, with a little country tossed in.
Monday, June 22: The Wayne Choralaires
Another of the park’s classic favorites, our local community chorus, the Wayne Choralaires, directed by Patricia Spoor, will be sure to have a very special patriotic program on tap for America 250!
Thursday, June 25: Callicoon Station
Recently voted Best Band by River Reporter readers, Callicoon Station’s repertoire features original songs by Elizabeth Rose and Brewster Smith. Drawing on influences like Paul Simon, the Beatles, and New Orleans blues, the band delivers soulful and dynamic performances.
Monday, June 29: Noggin Hill
Noggin Hill, a bluegrass group from the burgeoning bluegrass scene in Southeastern PA, will be sharing classic bluegrass hits, along with bluegrass takes on modern tunes from the likes of The Cranberries and Fleetwood Mac.
Friday, July 3: Independence Day Celebration
The celebration features four different bands in coordination with the Greater Honesdale Partnership. Music starts at 3 pm with Scranton’s Crystal Band, followed by NEPA’s own Doug Smith, Green River and Tom Theobald’s The Idol Kings. The Greater Honesdale Partnership will wrap up the festivities around dusk with a fabulous fireworks display.

A rock/country band from Pike County, this popular trio harks back to the music of the “Woodstock Generation” and beyond.

Keeping with nostalgia, the popular group the Loungos may have played at your prom. But they didn’t stop with poodle skirts and bobby socks. Their repertoire goes on up to the hits of today.

For more than 45 years, the Wildflower Concert Series has presented quality music in a natural amphitheater, surrounded by majestic pines and sweet breezes. All 2026 performances at 6 p.m. Seating area opens approximately 5 p.m. subject to sound checks and rehearsals being finished. Seating is on a first-come basis. Food and beverage permitted at all concerts except if at indoor venue.
