Recent polls from J.L. Partners and the Manhattan Institute point out that the New York governor’s race is close; the latter poll found Republican Elise Stefanik leading incumbent Democrat Kathy Hochul by one point, 43-42.
J.L. Partners found that 55 percent of respondents want someone new in the executive mansion, and that Stefanik is leading by three points, 41 to 38, among Independents.
Stefanik has been endorsed by the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, with executive director Tom King calling her “one of New York’s strongest defenders of the Second Amendment in Congress.”
She was also endorsed by Sullivan County Conservative Party chair Edward Magilton, and recently received the Zionist Organization of America’s Maccabee Warrior Award.
“Elise Stefanik can and will win the righteous fight to make New York affordable and safe for all,” said Team Elise spokesperson Bernadette Breslin.
