FALLSBURG, NY — The Town of Fallsburg is proud to welcome the Hudson Valley Rivermen, a professional men’s basketball team in the American Basketball Association (ABA), as they make Fallsburg their permanent home for games and practices. The team will train and compete at the Fallsburg Central School District gym, bringing exciting basketball action to the community.
Founded in 2020, the Hudson Valley Rivermen are dedicated to developing top basketball talent while fostering strong community connections.
Under the leadership of Team Administrator, Naomi Mombrun and Head Coach, Curtis Brock, the team looks forward to becoming an integral part of Fallsburg’s sports culture.

“We are excited to call the Town of Fallsburg, our home,” said Naomi Mombrun. “This community has a rich appreciation for sports, and we look forward to bringing high-quality basketball entertainment while inspiring young athletes in the area.”
HV Rivermen Administration added, “Having a stable home in Fallsburg allows us to build a stronger program, deepen our local engagement, and create more opportunities for players and fans alike.”

As the team prepares for the upcoming 2025/2026 season, open tryouts will be held in late April for players looking to compete at the professional level. Head Coach Curtis Brock enthusiastically scouted new talent: “We’re looking for hard-working, passionate players ready to take their game to the next level. Fallsburg is the perfect place to
build something special, and we can’t wait to start.”
With this new home base, the Hudson Valley Rivermen plan to host exciting games, youth development programs, and community engagement initiatives, further strengthening the bond between the team and the Town of Fallsburg.
