They answered the call of duty

[Ed. note: Recently, the New York State Assembly passed a resolution memorializing March 29 as Vietnam Veterans Day.]

As the son of a Vietnam veteran, I rise in strong support. These brave men and women answered the call of duty and served with honor in the face of unimaginable hardship. Far too many never received the welcome home they deserved when they returned. Today, we say clearly and without hesitation: Thank you for your service, your sacrifice and your love of country.

We will never forget what you gave, and we are committed to ensuring that every Vietnam veteran in the 102nd District and across this great state knows they are incredibly appreciated by a grateful nation.

God bless our Vietnam veterans, God bless our military and God bless the United States of America.

Assemblyman Chris Tague (R,C-102)
Candidate for state Senate, NY-51
Schoharie, NY

state senate, Assembly, Chris Tague, call of duty
