The wheels of justice turn slowly

The River Reporter’s April 20 article about the Barryville Oasis was a long time coming. And even though there was still an ample amount of sugar coating on the part of Supervisor Pizzolato, the article is a step in the right direction.

I first sent a letter to the River Reporter in November 2023, outlining some serious inaccuracies they printed concerning then-candidate Pizzolato. I was right. His management of the Town of Highland has been the same as his business management: Slap some lipstick on the pig, spend other people’s money without planning and ignore the rules that don’t serve  his purposes.

Each month, I would state my objections at our town board meeting and forward the same to both local papers and the comptroller’s office. I was maligned and ignored.

So once again, I’m running for town supervisor. The people of the Town of Highland deserve a government official who means it when they say they will uphold the laws of the State of New York and the Town of Highland.

Our finances need to be set straight by someone who has financial experience and is willing to take the heat when the tough decisions need to be made.
