HONESDALE, PA — The Honesdale Pub will officially open its doors with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony, hosted by the Greater Honesdale Partnership. The opening takes place on Saturday, January 17 at 3 p.m.
Formerly Mountain House Tavern North, the Honesdale Pub blends a refreshed, elevated pub experience with the cozy neighborhood atmosphere locals know and love, the partnership said. The new establishment features a brand-new menu, a rotating lineup of live music, karaoke nights and a space designed for gathering, connection and community.
What truly sets the Honesdale Pub apart is its commitment to honoring local history, the partnership said. With the Wayne County Historical Society, the pub showcases historic photographs and stories throughout the space. Guests will also recognize a nostalgic favorite—the recreated Old Elm Inn Chili Dog and Chili Burger.
The grand opening celebration will include:
“Great pubs reflect the towns they serve,” said the owners of the Honesdale Pub. “We wanted to create a place that feels familiar, welcoming and rooted in Honesdale’s story—while offering something fresh and exciting for the community.”
