Let me count the ways Elon Musk, an unelected official in Trump’s administration, created havoc:

He destroyed food safety programs, and as a result, lettuce, granola, blueberries and pet food are rife with harmful bacteria and parasites.

He fired 3,400 U.S. Forest Service workers and hollowed out funding for firefighters to the tune of $3 billion. As a result, a state like Montana, prone to wildfires, had 63 percent fewer acres treated against the possibility of such fires.

Musk gutted NOAA and the National Weather Service, leaving communities with no advance warnings of flash floods and tornadoes.

And let’s not omit the unelected Stephen Miller, who seems to direct ICE to push for thousands of daily arrests. So far, Miller may have caused over 6,200 children to be detained, some ending up in ICE prisons known for their violent treatment and ghastly living conditions.

Let me also count the ways the Republican-dominated Congress has slavishly implemented Trump’s plans to deprive Americans of food stamps, health insurance, rural hospitals, decent education and infrastructure.  They, too, have succeeded in creating havoc.

End the havoc: vote and vote early!
