Assembly Member Paula Elaine Kay announced that she received the unanimous endorsement of both the Orange and Sullivan County Democratic Committees in her bid for re-election to New York’s 100th Assembly District.

Sullivan County Democratic Chair Steven Vegliante praised Kay’s first term. “Paula has performed for our county like a veteran lawmaker. Stepping in as a freshman, she has delivered time and time again. Our committee unanimously and proudly endorses her candidacy and looks forward to working hard to return her to Albany to fight for us every day.”

Middletown Mayor Joe DeStefano, who nominated Kay in Orange County, noted, “Paula hit the ground running. She delivers real results and is a serious policy maker and tireless public servant, and a leader fighting for working families, local governments, infrastructure upgrades, public safety and economic development.  She is relentless when it comes to helping her constituents.”

Kay is a member of the Standing Committees on Agriculture, Economic Development, Job Creation, Commerce and Industry, Environmental Conservation, Insurance, Racing and Wagering, and Veterans. She is also an officer for the Women’s Legislative Caucus.
