HAWLEY, PA — Are you curiois if your local stream might contain plastic fragments, or 'microplastics'?
A new grant funded program in Pike County needs volunteers to submit streams on their properties, in their community associations or on public property to be considered as sites for the Pike County Conservation District to study.
Chosen sites will be surveyed starting in early 2025, and a public presentation of the results will be held in March of 2025.
The deadline to submit a site for consideration is Friday, December 20. To submit, visit https://bit.ly/pccdmicroplastics
