LAKE ARIEL, PA — Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) has added Taylor Hook to its pediatric care team. Hook, who has been seeing patients from newborn to age 18 at the Sterling Pediatric Center over the past month, comes to WMCHC with more than two years’ experience.
Hook has a background in family medicine and cares for patients across all age groups. However, she said, this “deepened my appreciation for the unique challenges and rewards of caring for children.” She said she takes time to connect with each child on their own level to create a “trusting relationship,” which she believes is essential to effective care.
Additionally, Hook offers parents “clear communication, empathy and a team-based approach” to obtain the best outcomes for their child’s overall health. Each child’s care plan encompasses “the whole family dynamic.”
Hook received a master’s degree as a physician assistant from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre. She added that she chose to join WMCHC because of its strong reputation in the community and clear opportunity for professional growth. She also praised the health centers’ supportive environment, “as someone transitioning into pediatrics, I value being part of a team where I can continue to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully.”
Sterling Pediatric Center is located at 62 Industrial Park Road. To make an appointment, call 570/689-7565. WMCHC accepts most managed care plans, commercial insurance and PA Medical Assistance. Visit www.wmchc.net for information on all services.
