Serious congratulations to Leah Casner, the River Reporter’s SNOB (Snarky Newcomer Opines, Basely) columnist. She recently received honorable mention in the National Society of Newspaper Columnists’ 2026 Columnist Contest for Print Humor.

Writers from 80 publications, including the Seattle Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Wall Street Journal, the Guardian and the Dallas Morning News competed in the various categories. 

We are unsure if this means Leah is now too superior to talk to us, or to help convert the next pig head into head cheese, but will let you know.
