On Saturday, May 9, Scranton 4 Ukraine will sponsor Step Up for Ukraine 2, a fundraising walk to benefit Ukraine TrustChain.

Ukraine TrustChain is a U.S.-based 50l(c)(3) nonprofit that raises funds here to send to volunteers on the ground in Ukraine.  These volunteers know their community needs and provide food, water, medicine, transportation and sometimes evacuation to their neighbors.

One of the walk organizers, Barb Roman, shared that “we were hoping our second Step Up for Ukraine would raise funds to rebuild a peaceful but war-ravaged Ukraine. Unfortunately, the war continues and the needs have only grown.”

“We know it is Mother’s Day weekend, and we invite you to walk with your mother, in honor of your mother or in honor of all the mothers in Ukraine,” Roman said.

Step Up for Ukraine 2 will be held at Bingham Park in Hawley.  The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, to register to walk or to make a donation, visit go.rallyup.com/stepupforukraine2/Campaign/Details.
