Hello, I’m Pete Madden, the new president of the board of trustees at Radio Catskill (WJFF 90.5 FM). As a listener-supported public radio station, we depend on your feedback and involvement to help shape our future—and I’m reaching out to ask you to take a few minutes to complete our annual community survey.

It’s an exciting time at the station. Our local news team is growing. We’ve participated in national initiatives like StoryCorps’ One Small Step, which brought people together across political divides through meaningful face-to-face conversation. We were honored to receive Press Forward’s inaugural Closing Local Coverage Gaps grant, which allowed us to hire a sharp young reporter focused on community issues. And just recently, thanks to your generous support during our summer fund drive, we teamed up with the Sunlight Research Center, a nonprofit journalism support organization that works directly with local news outlets like ours to vet candidates seeking public office and develop ambitious accountability projects in the public interest.

Our goal is to become the region’s trusted hub for reliable news and cultural connection—and your feedback is essential as we set priorities and make decisions moving forward.
