MONTICELLO, NY — The Alchemy Poets, a long-time Sullivan County group of writers that meets monthly to share and discuss their work, plan to host a poetry reading Thursday, October 22 at the Ethelbert B. Crawford Public Library. Several members of the group will share original works on the theme of the autumn, harvest or Halloween season. Reading begins at 6 p.m.

Following the reading, a limited number of guests will be invited to also share an original work as time allows. Sign-up will precede the start of the event, and refreshments will follow. Costumes are optional.

The Alchemy Poets meet at the Liberty Public Library the third Thursday of each month starting at 1 p.m. in the downstairs meeting room. New members as well as folks who would like to listen, or try their hand at writing poetry, are also welcome.

The library is located at 479 Broadway.
