On NEPA Gives, June 6-7, you can support a nonprofit doing good work.

NEPA Gives is almost here! Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 5 at 7 p.m. for 24 hours of giving. Donations can be made to your favorite nonprofits at nepgives.org. 

Each donation made can unlock prize money for participating nonprofits. 

The Wayne County Community Foundation is one of seven community foundations in our region hosting NEPA Gives, led by our partners at the Scranton Area Community Foundation. 

Since 2020, NEPA Gives has raised over 4.8 million dollars and has engaged more than 16,500 donors. NEPA Gives supports nearly 300 organizations that serve eight different counties in Northeastern Pennsylvania—and some that cover both New York and Pennsylvania.

This year, the Wayne County Community Foundation is kicking off NEPA Gives on June 5 at 6 p.m. at the Cooperage, which is located at 1030 Main St. in Honesdale. You’re all invited to this free celebration!  Come meet area nonprofits to learn more about what they do for our community.  

Can’t make it to the event but still want to give?  Go to www.nepagives.org to donate on June 5 at 7 p.m. 

This giving day is extremely important for nonprofits in our area to raise unrestricted funds for their organizations, and for every $100 raised, it only costs the organization approximately $2.15—that is really efficient fundraising.

So please remember that from June 5 at 7 p.m. to June 6 at 7 p.m., you have 24 hours to support your favorite nonprofits for NEPAGives. Just a $10 donation might unlock a prize for your favorite participating nonprofit organization.
