MILFORD, PA - A Pike County resident was sentenced at Pike County Court for possessing numerous photos and videos depicting child sexual abuse material. Richard Lombardo, age 67, of Shohola Township, previously entered a plea of guilty to the crime of Sexual Abuse of Children*.

Pike County President Judge Gregory H. Chelak sentenced Lombardo to a total sentence of not less than 24 months up to 60 months in a state correctional facility along with a fine of $1,500.00.

According to the affidavit of probable cause supporting the charge, Detectives at the District Attorney’s Office received information from two cyber tips by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that child sexual abuse material had been uploaded from an IP Address.

After an investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant for Lombardo’s residence in Shohola Township. With the assistance of the Pennsylvania State Police Computer Crime Unit, detectives discovered child sexual abuse images on two electronic devices.

Lomardo has been held at Pike County correctional facility pending the outcome of the case. He will now be transferred to a state correctional facility to begin serving his sentence.

*A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
