PIKE COUNTY, PA —The Pike County Commissioners have supported the Habitat for Humanity of Pike County with a $75,000 contribution toward their mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Habitat is currently building its 39th home in Pike County and is preparing to select a family for the 40th house. The office of the commissioners is grateful for their dedication to strengthening our community and are honored to contribute to their ongoing efforts.
This funding comes from Act 137, the Affordable Housing Funds Act, which allows PA counties to allocate recording fees from deeds and mortgages to support affordable housing programs and projects.
