BETHEL, NY — Bethel Woods Center for the Arts invites you to take a break from the winter chill with its Winter Wellness workshop series, a six-week program designed to help adults relax, create and connect. It will be held on Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m., from February 12 to March 19.

Whether you’re curious about clay, crochet or calming sound baths, these community workshops offer a welcome midweek escape. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity. All workshops are beginner friendly.

February 12 – Peace is Possible Meditation with Kadam Kyle Davis

Learn how meditation can build optimism and bring peace to your mind and community. Kadam Kyle, of Kadampa Meditation Center in Glen Spey, will guide you through techniques to find calm and cultivate a hopeful outlook on life.

February 19 – Clay Play with Elizabeth Bassett

Get your hands dirty and explore the joy of working with clay. Elizabeth, an experienced art teacher, will help you create a textured 3D art piece to take home—perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a creative night out.

February 26 – Hooked on Crochet: Beginner’s Workshop with Leila McCullough

Learn the basics of crochet with Leila, owner of Wool Worth in Callicoon. From foundation stitches to simple patterns, you’ll leave ready to start projects like granny squares or scarves.

March 5 – Grounding with Sound: A Candlelight Reset with Lauren Pacione

Unwind with a soothing sound bath and guided meditation. Lauren, an ecotherapist, will also share easy ways to bring nature’s calming power indoors during winter.

March 12 – Imagination Training: Remembering Play Through Movement with Erin Dudley

Rediscover the joy of movement with Erin, a dance and yoga instructor. This playful workshop blends improvisation, yoga and imagination exercises to spark creativity and relieve stress.

March 19 – Beyond the Brush: Meditative Abstracts with Catherine Chesters

Experiment with watercolors, acrylics and inks to create serene abstract art. Catherine, a mixed-media artist from Barryville, will help you tap into your creative flow through layering and mark-making.

Whether you’re looking for a new hobby, a night out, or a little self-care, this series offers something for everyone.

Tickets cost $15 per session. To learn more and secure your spot, visit www.BethelWoodsCenter.org/WinterWellness.
