My name is Paula Moss, and I am proud to announce my candidacy for Bethel Town Council.

My husband Bill, our son Cooper and I live in Smallwood, where we started as weekenders 14 years ago and made it our permanent home in 2020.

Like many of you, I care deeply about Bethel’s future and want to help our town grow thoughtfully and sustainably.

I’m running because I want to strengthen our local economy, support small business growth, create more opportunities for our youth, and protect Bethel’s rural character and strong sense of community.

Professionally, I’ve spent over 25 years working with senior leaders in finance, consulting and the arts, and I’m proud to continue that work today at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.

As the mom of a growing teenager, I recognized the need for youth programming and co-founded the Smallwood Youth Experience (SYE), a summer program that brings kids together four nights a week for games, arts and beach events, all supported by volunteers from across the Smallwood Civic Association community.

If elected, I will bring fresh energy, practical leadership and a collaborative spirit to town government.

I look forward to putting my experience, creative thinking, and commitment to youth and community to work on your behalf.

I also see this campaign as an opportunity to listen;  to hear your ideas, your concerns and your hopes for Bethel. I look forward to meeting you along the way.

I would be honored to earn your support in the Democratic primary on June 24.
