Former supervisor Steve Bartelson resigned for personal reasons, according to township secretary treasurer Shayla Gouger. His resignation was made official at the January 5 board of supervisors meeting.
All letters of interest must be received prior to January 25, 2026, and can be dropped off at the township building during normal business hours or emailed to the secretary at palwayne@ptd.net. Interviews will also be conducted during the week of January 26, 2026. These interviews will be scheduled and held at the Palmyra Township Building located at 219 Oak Street, Hawley, Pa, throughout the month in anticipation of appointing a new supervisor to fill the vacant seat.
