LAKE ARIEL — The Office of the Wayne County Coroner was dispatched to the scene of a fatal motor vehicle collision December 21, 2025 at 243 Finn Swamp Rd., Paupack Township, Lake Ariel.

Mark M. James, Chief Deputy Coroner, responded to the scene to perform a death investigation. An adult male was pronounced dead at the scene at 0455 Hours by Chief Deputy James. The decedent was identified as Mr. Kevin Dexter LABORDE, who had been a passenger in the rear seat of a sedan that left the roadway and struck multiple trees. The decedent was ejected from the motor vehicle.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, December 23, 2025
Pennsylvania State Police are also investigating. This is an ongoing investigation. No further details are available at this time.
