SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — New York State Budget Director Blake Washington spoke at Resorts World Catskills, where he delivered a State of the State Address directly from Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office. 

“People of Sullivan County can rely on their state government to provide their needs right here at home.” said Washington.

The event, hosted by the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce, was intended to provide local businesses, elected officials and community members with insight into the state’s 2025 priorities and a platform to discuss key issues impacting Sullivan County.

Washington oversees the overall development and management of the NYS fiscal policy, including the preparation of budget recommendations for all state agencies and programs, economic and revenue forecasting, tax policy, fiscal planning, capital financing and management of the state’s debt portfolio.

Blake is a graduate of Monticello High School and he began his career as a probation officer with the Sullivan County Probation Department.
