We Are One Sullivan will host a sidewalk rally in front of the county courthouse at 414 Broadway on Saturday, October 17 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

No Kings: Vote Early focuses on voter participation for all eligible voters, encouraging people to take advantage of added opportunities to vote and make their voices heard.

Across the country, families are struggling with the cost of groceries, gas, electric bills and everyday expenses. The choices made by those in power affect our lives, and elections decide who has the power to make those choices.

“Our communities are strongest when everyone who is eligible to vote has a plan, knows their options, and votes,” said Anne Hart, one of the organizers of this event. She added that early voting information and other voting resources will be available for people to take home to help other voters plan to vote early.

Early voting in New York begins on October 24 and ends November 1.

Attendees are encouraged to bring signs encouraging folks to VOTE EARLY and to MAKE A PLAN TO VOTE.

This event is not affiliated with, coordinated with, or supportive of any candidate or political party. No campaign activity will be allowed at this event.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontations. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
