PIKE COUNTY, PA — Two personnel from the Pike County Conservation District were nominated by fellow staff for the 2024 Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD). Ellen Enslin, program manager, and Kelly Stagen, vice chair of the board, were both awarded Honorable Mention certificates from NACD.
The award “recognizes an individual within the association, a conservation district or a state association that has made significant contributions to the conservation and proper management of our nation’s natural resources,” according to NACD. Enslin was recognized for her long-term role as a leader at the district and in the community. Stagen has represented the district and the region as president of the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts (PACD) and as an alternate board member for NACD.
