Sometimes when the task at hand seems totally overwhelming, I like to remind myself that you can drive from New York to California at night, seeing just 100 feet in front of you.
The point is that the small steps we take, like moving small stones, get us moving in the right direction. Life is not accomplished in leaps and bounds; it's accomplished by putting one foot in front of the other. Taking steps, kicking the can, as it were, a few feet down the road, actually does accomplish something.
It gets us moving. And in our hectic and chaotic world, keeping moving and remembering our purpose and intention is sometimes all we can do.
And it is enough.
