MONTICELLO — Members of the Village of Monticello Police with assistance from the Sullivan County Sheriff Office and NYSP, arrested Ikeem J. Rogers, age 32, of Monticello on Wednesday January 28, 2026.
Rogers was charged with the felonies of 3 counts of Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree, Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 4th degree, Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the 1st degree and Tampering with physical evidence.
At 1 P.M. Wednesday Village of Monticello Police received a 911 report that Rogers had taken a 2023 Nissan Rogue without permission from another person. A few minutes later a sheriff deputy assisting Monticello Police observed the vehicle traveling on Route 17B. Rogers who traveling alone in the vehicle was further observed to throw a black bag out of the vehicle window prior to being stopped by officers on Raceway Road. The black bag thrown onto the roadway was recovered by officers and it was revealed to contain 105 grams of powder and crack cocaine and 70 glassine envelopes containing 22 grams of Fentanyl.
Rogers was also found to have $3500.00 in U.S. Currency on his person when arrested.
Rogers was arraigned in the Village of Monticello Justice Court before Judge Douglas Solomon and was remanded to the Sullivan County Jail without bail pending further court action.
The filing of an accusatory instrument is merely an accusation and every person arrested in presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
