This district has been well served by Assemblyman Chris Tague. Chris has been a steady, effective voice for farmers, small businesses and working families, and I’m grateful for his leadership and friendship. As he seeks to continue serving our region in the New York State Senate, I hope to earn the opportunity to build on his work and keep delivering results for our communities.
Quite simply, New York has become too expensive for too many families. Property taxes, energy costs, housing, groceries and everyday expenses are squeezing families, farmers, seniors on fixed incomes and young families trying to build a future here. Albany continues to push policies that drive up costs, burden small businesses, and make it harder for rural and upstate communities to compete and grow.
I’m running because affordability must be the top priority.
Throughout my career as mayor, county executive, state assemblyman, member of Congress and in federal leadership shaping national infrastructure policy, my focus has been simple: deliver practical solutions that help families make ends meet, support local employers, and strengthen our communities. I’ve seen firsthand how government decisions affect real people—and I know results matter.
My decision to return to the state legislature is also deeply personal. Public service has always been about strengthening families and communities—including my own. This is a moment where I want to continue serving while staying rooted in the communities that shaped my values and life.
The 102nd District deserves experienced, accessible leadership that will fight for lower taxes, affordable energy, stronger local economies, reliable infrastructure, and policies that allow our children to build their futures right here at home.
In the coming days, along with committee members and volunteers, we will be out across the district securing signatures to place my name on the ballot. I’m deeply grateful to everyone stepping up and helping us build this effort from the ground up.
Over the coming weeks, I look forward to traveling the district to listen and earn your support. I hope you’ll join us.
