HONESDALE, PA — Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) recently announced that Mark Murnin, D.O., Hamlin-based internal medicine physician of over 30 years, has joined its staff. His practice, located at 358 Hamlin Highway, Lake Ariel, has been renamed the Lake Ariel Family Health Center. With the addition of this office, WMCHC is now operating 20 sites total, 10 of which offer primary care.

“Dr. Murnin has devoted decades of his medical expertise to treating those residing in the Hamlin area,” said Teresa Lacey, R.N., the CEO of WMCHC. “We are glad he has decided to continue that tradition as a WMCHC physician.”

Stated goals are to shorten wait times to be seen and to open the practice to new patients. To that end, Lacey announced that certified registered nurse practitioner Sabrina Shander will also be joining the new health center.

“Access to care continues to be one of WMCHC’s priorities,” Lacey said. “Bringing on qualified providers and availability of another physical location in Hamlin allows us to increase our footprint and ultimately meet community needs.”

Appointments with either Dr. Murnin or Sabrina Shander, CRNP, can be made by calling 570/689-2242. Existing patients with previously scheduled visits do not need to call the office to confirm. WMCHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center and clinical affiliate of Wayne Memorial Health System, Inc. All services offered can be found at www.wmchc.net.
