WOODRIDGE, NY — Village of Woodridge Police in conjunction with the New York State Police at  Wurtsboro, on August 26, 2026, arrested Carlos Gutierrez of Monticello,  New York. Gutierrez was charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident, a Class D felony, as a result of a hit and run accident which occurred in
the Village of Woodridge, and resulted in the death of a Woodridge resident.

Gutierrez was arraigned in front of Judge David Maho, Woodridge Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $100,000.00 bail.
