LAKEVILLE, PA — LockData Technologies, Inc., a full-stack technology company serving the performing arts and live events industry for more than 25 years, announced its transition to employee ownership through an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT). The structure places the company in a trust held for the benefit of its employees.
Founded by Chuck Lockwood in 2000, LockData has grown into a technology partner for Broadway producers, performing arts centers, theaters and ticketing platforms worldwide, the company wrote recently. “The move to an EOT, a model still uncommon in the United States and more established in the United Kingdom, reflects a deliberate choice to preserve the company’s culture, client relationships, and independence as it enters its next chapter.”
“I was the first person Chuck hired, so I’ve seen nearly every version of this company. What’s stayed constant is the people,” said Brian Davailus, director of digital strategy at LockData Technologies. “Some of the folks I work with have been here a decade or more, and so have some of our clients. That’s not an accident. We’ve built a business around understanding our clients’ work, whether that’s a Broadway box office or an enterprise CRM. That only happens when people stick around long enough to learn it.”
LockData Technologies, Inc. has served the performing arts and live events industry for more than 25 years. Based in Lakeville, LockData builds ticketing integrations, custom APIs, enterprise CRM solutions and high-performance web applications for Broadway producers, performing arts centers and more.
