LOCH SHELDRAKE — On December 14, 2025, Fallsburg Police were dispatched to the Lake View Apartments & Townhomes in Loch Sheldrake for a report of a stolen vehicle.

Following an investigation into the reported matter, Fallsburg Police Detectives were able to locate the reported vehicle in the Village of Liberty and 21-year-old Devonte Loyce, of Loch Sheldrake, was taken into police custody.

Devonte Loyce was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a felony, and he was arraigned in the Town of Fallsburg Justice Court by the Honorable Judge Kaminski.

Devonte Loyce was then remanded to the Sullivan County Jail and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Fallsburg Justice Court at a later date. The Fallsburg Police Department was assisted in the investigation by members from the Village of Liberty Police Department.

Criminal charges are merely allegations that a defendant has committed violations of the criminal law, and as such they are not evidence of guilt. All defendants have a presumption of innocence and are entitled to a fair trial, during which it will be the burden of the State of New
York to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
