NEW YORK 19th CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT — Narrowsburg native and January 6 insurrectionist Jake Lang, who had 11 charges for his actions at the capital—which included assaulting law enforcement with a deadly weapon and engaging in physical violence on restricted grounds—has announced he will run for U.S. Senate in Florida. The Florida Senate run is a departure from the NY-19 Congressional candidacy Lang talked about initially after he was released from prison. Lang is seeking to fill the vacated seat by the now-Secretary of State Marco Rubio in 2026. He announced his run on X, formerly known as Twitter, in a video that stated “WE ARE TAKING OVER THE CAPITAL AGAIN” in the caption.
