DELAWARE COUNTY, NY — The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) on October 7 announced that a draft Unit Management Plan (UMP) for Little Pond Campground and Day-Use Area, located in Delaware County, is now available for public review. The public is invited to submit input on the draft plan, which will guide future management of the facility over the next 10 years.
The Little Pond Campground is located on Barkaboom Road, Andes, Delaware County, 14 miles north of the hamlet of Livingston Manor. Amenities include waterfront sites, hot showers, flush toilets, trailer dumping station, an unsupervised swimming area, and hiking opportunities.
The draft plan for the Little Pond Campground and Day-Use Area can be viewed and downloaded from DEC's website.

The draft UMP proposes the following management activities:
Public comments on the draft campground UMP will be accepted through November 9, 2026, and can be submitted by mail or email to: Olivia McGranaghan, NYSDEC Division of Operations, Bureau of Planning and Facilities Management, 625 Broadway, Albany, NY 12233-5253, Email: dec.sm.OpsPlanning@dec.ny.gov.
In addition, the public can visit the Little Pond Campground and Day-Use Area Survey to share comments on recreational opportunities. Survey Responses will be accepted until November 9, 2026.
