I first met Tim Dymond over two decades ago at the NYPD Police Academy.  From the very beginning, he stood out as someone who led not by force, but by example. Even in the most demanding circumstances, he carried himself with integrity, steadiness and fairness. 

Tim is an honest, hard-working man with strong family values. Tim is guided by a deep belief in family values; raised in a large, close-knit family, he understands the importance of community, respect and accountability. Those values are not confined to his personal life; they shape the way he leads and serves others. 

My own family has been welcomed into his as if we were part of it, and I know many others who can share similar stories. This is the essence of who he is:  a man who builds bridges, not walls, and who makes every person feel seen and valued.

The position of sheriff plays a unique and vital role in public safety and community trust. The position demands integrity, strength and compassion all in equal measure. Tim Dymond possesses all three. These qualities are why I believe he is the right choice to serve as sheriff of Sullivan County. Sullivan County will be a safer, stronger and a more united county under his leadership.

Equally important is his deep and enduring connection to Sullivan County. This is not just the place where he lives; it is the community that shaped him, and the one he has dedicated his career to protecting. His love for country and county is evident in the way he speaks, the way he serves, and the choices he makes. He does not view the role of sheriff as a title, but as a responsibility—to safeguard, to unite, and to strengthen the county he proudly calls home.

For these reasons, I urge the residents of Sullivan County to join me in supporting Tim Dymond for sheriff. He has the values, the experience and the heart to lead Sullivan County with honor.
