HONESDALE — The Pennsylvania State Police at Honesdale have filed criminal homicide charges against a juvenile male in connection with a September 2025 fatal shooting investigation in Salem Township, Wayne County.
On September 23, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Pennsylvania State Police responded to a residence on Parkwood Drive, Salem Township, for the report of a deceased male with a gunshot wound to the head.
Investigators identified the victim as 30-year-old Kimo Richards.
Through the course of the investigation, Troopers conducted numerous interviews, reviewed physical and forensic evidence, analyzed the 911 call, and obtained findings from the forensic autopsy and Pennsylvania State Police Wyoming Regional Laboratory.
Investigators determined the victim’s injuries were not self-inflicted.
As a result of the investigation, a juvenile male was charged on May 5, 2026, with Criminal Homicide. Due to the age of the accused, no additional identifying information will be released.
