SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — After more than a decade of local radio broadcasting, Jenn Clarke, the voice of the “Midday Mix with Jenn” on 98.3 WSUL, is stepping away from the microphone and into retirement from radio.
Clarke joined Bold Gold Media in January 2015 as the promotion and events coordinator, and began her on-air career with 98.3 WSUL in June 2017. She quickly became a favorite among listeners as the host of “Mornings with Jenn,” a position she held from 2017 through 2022.
For the past several years, she continued connecting with listeners as the host of the “Midday Mix with Jenn.”
Aside from her show on 98.3 WSUL, she filled in regularly on Thunder 102 and 95.9 VOS-FM.
In addition to being an on-air host, Clarke was a traffic coordinator and served as Bold Gold Media New York Region’s events and promotions coordinator, for which she helped organize and support some of the region’s most meaningful community initiatives, like the 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon and Thunder 102 County Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon.
Clarke has committed to volunteering for these events in the future.
“Working for Bold Gold Media has given me the opportunity to make a difference in the community I not only grew up in, but proudly call home,” Clarke said. “Spending my broadcast career on the very station I grew up listening to has been an incredible honor and privilege, one that I will always treasure. To be able to serve the same community that shaped me, through a career I’ve loved, is something I am deeply grateful for.”
“Over the years, I have watched Jenn grow both personally and professionally into a strong voice and presence in our community,” said Dawn Ciorciari, general manager of Bold Gold Media, NY Region. “I am so proud of her accomplishments and will miss her.”
As Clarke retires, Bold Gold Media has announced that Lourdesa Hunt, a recent addition to the NY Region office as the business development, events and promotions coordinator, will take over the “Midday Mix” on 98.3 WSUL weekday afternoons from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Hunt will bring her energy, experience and love of the community to listeners each day.
Bold Gold Media owns and operates 17 full-power radio stations and 27 total broadcast frequencies. The mission of Bold Gold Media Group is to provide community-focused broadcast programming for its entire listening area and to contribute positively to the growth and development of the region through the power of local radio and digital media.
