HONESDALE, PA — Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell announced the following cases were addressed by the Honorable Janine Edwards, President Judge Wayne County Court on January 2, 2025. 

ALEXANDER SMITH, age 24, of Honesdale, PA was sentenced to no less than 135 days (time served) nor more than 23 ½ months incarcerated in the Wayne County Correctional Facility on one count of Theft from a Motor Vehicle.

STEPHEN RAYMOND, age 40, of Windsor, NY was sentenced to no less than 40 days (time served) nor more than 12 months incarcerated in the Wayne County Correctional Facility on one count of Defiant Trespass and one count of Criminal Mischief.

JOSEPH SHARKAZY, age 43, of Honesdale, PA was sentenced to no less than 8 months nor more than 36 months incarcerated in the Wayne County Correctional Facility on one count of Fleeing or Eluding Police Officer, one count of Recklessly Endangering Another Person and one count of Flight to Avoid Apprehension.

MATTHEW HORWITZ, age 42, of Honesdale, PA was sentenced to no less than 106 days (time served) nor more than 23 ½ months incarcerated in the Wayne County Correctional Facility on one count of Theft by Unlawful Taking-Movable Property, one count of
Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and one count of Marijuana- Small Amount Personal Use.

JOHN FITZMORRIS, age 23, of Lake Ariel, PA was placed on probation for a period of 6 months for one count of DUI.

LORI MULVEY, age 54, of Lake Ariel, PA was placed on probation for a period of 36 months for 5 counts of Confine within Premises of Owner and 2 counts of Dog Attack Causing Serious Injury or Death.
