SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — Infinite Care, the consulting firm that has operated the Sullivan County Adult Care Center since 2021, has decided to withdraw from its agreement.
The original plan when Infinite Care came in was to manage the facility with the long-term goal of having the facility's operating license, its Certificate of Need, transfered from the county to Infinite Care. According to county manager Dan Hust, "Infinite Care’s leadership determined that continuing to wait on the resolution of this application was not optimal for them or the County. The County is not accepting further admissions to the Care Center until the withdrawal process is understood and a future path is determined."
"Patient care remains staff’s priority at the Care Center, and this transition does not change the County’s existing ownership of the facility," Hust told the River Reporter.
