HONESDALE, PA — Honesdale Borough is pleased to announce the grand opening and dedication of
the Apple Grove Dog Park and Trail, a new recreational facility designed to enhance community life and
promote outdoor activity. The celebratory event will take place at 11:00 a.m. on December 9, 2024, at the
Apple Grove location along Fair Avenue (State Route 191), next to the Honesdale Area Pool.

The new facility features a comprehensive construction plan including ADA-compliant parking access,
fencing, and gates, along with meticulously crafted landscaping and a well-designed trail system. This
trail elegantly links the pool’s parking area to the dog park itself, complete with essential signage and site
enhancements. The project not only highlights the borough's commitment to enhancing recreational
amenities but also reflects the collective voice of residents who actively petitioned for the dog park.

Community members, local officials and visitors are encouraged to join the borough for the opening ceremony.
