HONESDALE, PA — Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) was presented with a proclamation from the Wayne County Commissioners declaring August 3-9 to be National Health Center Week.
During the presentation, the commissioners described WMCHC as an asset to the community for its continued provision of accessible and affordable care to county residents.
WMCHC Chief Development Officer Erica Brown said that overall the community health centers provide care to nearly 58,000 patients and conduct over 222,000 visits annually.
WMCHC is a federally qualified health center with over 20 office sites across four counties. Services include primary care, women’s health, pediatrics, podiatry, dental and behavioral health, as well as walk-in care for non-life-threatening medical needs. For more information, visit www.wmchc.net.
