"My name is Scott Goodman and I am running for Town Supervisor on the Cochecton United independent line. I believe we deserve accessible and accountable government that listens to residents and makes decisions based on the best interests of our town, not on politics.

"The biggest challenge facing Cochecton is keeping our community affordable without sacrificing the rural character that makes it special. Rising costs affect homeowners, families, farmers and businesses. We must manage town spending responsibly, pursue grants and outside funding, and consider the financial consequences of decisions affecting taxpayers.

"As a farm owner, former Sullivan County farmers’ market manager, attorney and longtime youth soccer coach, I understand the value of practical solutions and strong community partnerships. My experience in government and public policy has taught me that effective leadership starts with listening and leads to action.

"Protecting our farms, rivers, lakes, open spaces and town through thoughtful economic opportunities, transparent budgeting and public discussion is the cornerstone of my campaign.

"Cochecton belongs to all of us, regardless of political affiliation. I am running to bring neighbors together, earn residents’ trust, and ensure town government remains focused on the people it serves."

Town of Cochecton, Scott Goodman, Leanna Ballester, Ed Grund
