ONLINE — In celebration of Earth Day on Thursday, April 22, Farm Arts Collective is partnering with The Pocono Arts Council on presenting a public film broadcast of the 2020 live performance of “Dream on the Farm,” which was filmed on location at Willow Wisp Organic Farm in August 2020.
The film, along with a live question-and-answer session with the artists, will be presented via Zoom at 6 p.m.
“Dream on the Farm” is part of the Pocono Arts Council exhibition “Earth Speaks,” which gives artists a platform to capture their concern regarding the climate crisis, as well as an opportunity to offer possible solutions.
The film captures the live site-specific eco-drama that took place on Willow Wisp Organic Farm in August 2020. The play was created and performed by 20 members of the Farm Arts Collective ensemble of actors, stilt-walkers and musicians, directed by artistic director Tannis Kowalchuk and co-director Mimi McGurl. Dream on the Farm invited audience members to walk the farm and witness scenes and stories about survival and extinction in a changing world of extreme global disruptions due to human activity.
