ELLENVILLE, NY — Ellenville Regional Hospital (ERH) has been awarded a $375,000 grant from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation as part of the foundation’s 2025-2026 grant cycle, joining hundreds of organizations across New York State working to strengthen essential systems of care and address the needs of vulnerable communities.
The Mother Cabrini Health Foundation announced more than $142 million in grants statewide, supporting programs that improve health outcomes, eliminate barriers to care, and address the social determinants of health for New Yorkers most in need. Ellenville Regional Hospital’s grant will support the launch of the Ellenville HEAL (Health Screenings, Education, Access and Linkages) Mobile Project.
The HEAL Project is designed to expand health care access across Ulster and Sullivan counties by bringing essential medical services directly to residents. By utilizing a specialized mobile unit, the hospital will offer health screenings, mental health assessments and educational resources to underserved populations and older adults in the community.
“This grant is a significant investment in the health and well-being of our neighbors,” said Ashima Butler, COO at Ellenville Regional Hospital. “The HEAL Mobile Project allows us to meet people where they are, breaking down the barriers of transportation and geography that often stand in the way of quality care.”
The project is scheduled to begin its outreach efforts in the coming months. For more information about the HEAL Project or Ellenville Regional Hospital’s community initiatives, visit ERHNY.org.
Ellenville Regional Hospital is proud to partner with the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation in advancing a healthier, more equitable New York, “and looks forward to sharing the impact of this investment in the months ahead,” staff said.
