MILFORD, PA — Due to severe funding shortfalls caused by the ongoing Pennsylvania state budget impasse, the Pike County Public Library's Dingmans Branch will be temporarily closed effective November 4.
“This was a heartbreaking decision,” said Robb Ruiz, PCPL Board President. “We remain committed to serving all Pike County residents.”
The Milford Branch remains open, offering full access to books, digital materials, computers, Wi-Fi, printing, programming, and more. Dingmans Ferry materials will still be available by request through Milford.
The library stated that community support is critical during this time, and encouraged community members to donate to keep library services strong. "Every dollar helps keep the library open and accessible for everyone who depends on it. Thank you for standing with your library," read a post from the library.
