Dime Bank, employees donate to local food pantries

HONESDALE, PA — The Dime Bank recently donated a combined total of $4,500 to three local food pantries: the Scranton Area Community Foundation, the Greater Pike Community Foundation and the Wayne County Food Pantry.

In addition, bank employees organized their own food drive, collecting non-perishable items with a total estimated value of over $1,000.

The donations were intended to support the food pantries’ ongoing efforts within Wayne, Pike and Lackawanna counties. “The Dime Bank is dedicated to giving back to the communities that it serves,” the company said.

“We are proud to support the vital work these organizations do every day,” said Jeffrey Roche, senior vice president and CFO. “The fight against hunger is a community effort, and we hope these contributions will make a difference for our neighbors in need. We are also incredibly proud of our employees for stepping up with their own generous donations.”

The Dime Bank, Member FDIC, has nine branches in Wayne, Pike and Lackawanna counties. Dimeco, Inc. is the holding company of the Dime Bank, and trades on the OTCQX Marketplace under the symbol DIMC.
