PIKE COUNTY, PA — Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced that his office has joined together with other county law enforcement agencies to launch Crimewatch in Pike County. This new website, available at https://pike.crimewatchpa.com/da, offers direct access to crime and public safety-related information.
Developed in partnership with CRIMEWATCH Technologies, this website is part of the CRIMEWATCH Network, granting the public direct access to timely crime and public safety-related information in their local area. People can report crimes, submit tips and find information about recent incidents. Additionally, the website offers features such as crime alerts and community events.
According to Tonkin, "We are excited to launch this new platform, which we believe will be an invaluable resource for our community. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for people to stay informed and to play an active role in preventing crime in our area. We believe that this website will help us to achieve that goal." In particular, Tonkin believes it will be a step forward in combatting online child exploitation and drug trafficking in the county, by enabling citizens to submit tips directly to his office.
