HONESDALE, PA — This year, the Wayne County Fair will be participating in the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs apron contest, which showcases fairs and festivals.
The apron contest is an annual contest held at fairs throughout Pennsylvania, and has a new theme every year.
Exhibitors must be residents of Pennsylvania, and only one entry per person can be submitted.
The primary fabric should be themed, showcasing fairs and/or carnivals.
Participants must design and sew either a half apron or a bib apron, and the aprons must have been made in 2026.
Entries will be judged on workmanship, worth of article, appropriateness of materials and design.
The first-place winner will be eligible to enter their apron in the 2027 PA State Farm Show.
For more information or an entry form, visit www.waynecountyfair.com/site. The contest is listed under Premium Books, Department 22, Major Contests.
