COCHECTON, NY — The Cochecton Preservation Society will hold the first event in its 2026 celebration of America’s 250th anniversary on Sunday, June 7 at 1 p.m. at the Erie Depot, 8537 State Route 97. This inaugural program invites the community to explore the story of Skinners Falls—what drew early settlers to the area, the natural and cultural features that shaped it, family histories passed down through generations, and reflections on the beloved bridge that once connected the hamlet.

Guests can tour the Erie Depot, view curated displays, and reconnect with neighbors and friends. The event is free and includes refreshments.
